vet nurses and technicians?

Hi guys what is the exact role of vet nurses and technicians?
also the role of an animal care assistant?
Whats the difference between these three?
what are the prospects of pay in uk for them?
is it better to go to university and get a degree to become one of them?

are they more in contact with the animals than the vet surgeon? what i mean is, is the vet surgeon mainly dealing with surgeory all day and only seeing the animals under anestetic?

from your point of view which is the most pleasurable job to have out of these and the vet surgeon?

do vet nurses give any kind of injections or medical things?
if so does this mean the vet surgeon only deals with major operations?

THANKS GUYSSS
Vet nurses monitor the anaesthesia, generally help the vet, sometimes administer injections or run weight clinics, deal with minor problems, look after pets, deal with owners, some paperwork/ general reception things, clean tools, set the pens up ect... Generally support the vet. Animal care assistant, helps look after animals but doesn't work in a vets. Pay? Not so good. Yes I would go to university/college, but you need extensive preparation and an internshipish at a vets I think. I guess they would be more in contact with them yes. I would always take vet, depends what you want. Only vets ever do operations/ consultations ect.
