my mum tells me its after the chemical "ester" (shes a chemist)

everyones gettin into all the 'individual not veyr odten herad of' names or american names. in about 15 years in a school class it wont be 'emma's and 'sarah's and 'daniel's being popular, there will be about 5 morgans, 4 dermots, 2 paris's.... then itl be "there borin lets call our kid Mark for something different

Going back a bit, my names Sarah and I don't mind it. But I stuck my middle name to it, so now I'm Sarah-Joy which is more interesting. I'd rather that than lots of other names like, Betty or Patricia!

I like the name Gertrude...specially shortened to Gerty.

And there's someone out there working for the BBC with Cornelius <my surname> which sounds like a fabulous name.

I like Cedric better than cuthbert though (cedric was my cello's name)
