For a girl

Agnes, Edith, Enid, Rose etc

For a boy

Albert (berty), Alfred/Frederick (freddy) etc

I like old peoples names - especially on little kids.

My children (not that I'm going to get to name any as I'm planning on adopting) will also have the name Toilet as one of their middle names...in tribute to my great grandma (she wanted to christen my grandma kitty but the priest would only allow catherine so she stormed out of the church declaring "I'll call my daughter Tractor if I want to" ) of course I wont insist on them using the name or declaring it on anything but the most official of documents but it should make for a nice generation of f**ked up kids plus a family anecdote to last for decades.

Fantastic idea.

My grandma is called Agnes, she hates it I like it. I have a cousin called Shaun and the priest refused to baptise him unless she spellind Sean. And you still get to name adopted kids. Although if you are adopting older ones it might have an argument about including 'toilet' in their names.

I love Japanese names... Akira, Rei, Ai, Chika, Mitsuko, Nara, Reiko.. Ronin, Sakura... All the names have a meaning too...
e.g. Sakura - cherry blossom, Taro - the first born son, Yoko-positive, Yumi - beauty
you know, just for mentioning any interest in japan you are likely to get flamed, not by me I might add, but other individuals that do not appreciate japanese culture.

This is one of the things I've been thinking about the most recently.
My girls name would be Odette Manon or Aurora Inés I love those names. The boys would be William, Leander, Mingus or something...

As a friendly pointer, I would steer clear of Mingus.

No offence, but it sounds like a cross between 'ming' and 'fungus' - a field-day for playground bullies in the British Isles.

I would name a boy Falkner (means Falcon tamer), or Griffyn (mythical creature).
Girl... Aurora (means morning in Latin), or Persephone (greek myth, daughter of Hera & Zeus, married Hades... story is very cool).

From what I've seen, we are going to get a generation of children with very interesting names

For a boy i was thinking "Josh" or "Todd" and for a girl "Rachel" or "Dawn"!
Todd? As in Sweeney: the demon baraber of fleet street?

I would have to go for names like "Roadkill", "Ugly" and "Sh*t" I don't really lik kids. Of course you could also call a child "Servant" or "Slave"
