I was looking at *Dave* thread on the name rachel and i remembered that when the time comes Rachel was gonna be one of the names for my daughter.

For a boy i was thinking "Josh" or "Todd" and for a girl "Rachel" or "Dawn"!
ok....

i was thinking Rhyan (pronounced ryan) or Noel for a girl

and Brian, Lance, or Gabriel for a guy

Yeah but we aint discussing if you want them just what you would name them. For example....u go out on a one night stand....pull a hot chick and sleep with her....she gets pregnant....ur the father but she aint getting an abortion.....what would you name the boy or girl???

For a girl

Agnes, Edith, Enid, Rose etc

For a boy

Albert (berty), Alfred/Frederick (freddy) etc

I like old peoples names - especially on little kids.

My children (not that I'm going to get to name any as I'm planning on adopting) will also have the name Toilet as one of their middle names...in tribute to my great grandma (she wanted to christen my grandma kitty but the priest would only allow catherine so she stormed out of the church declaring "I'll call my daughter Tractor if I want to" ) of course I wont insist on them using the name or declaring it on anything but the most official of documents but it should make for a nice generation of f**ked up kids plus a family anecdote to last for decades.
edith? thats my moms name.....

lol no worries, im not sure, i think deciding things before hands a bit crazy, id have to wait to look at their eyes to know whats right, it wouldnt be an ordinary name tho, mines about as commone as they get and i hate it, so itd be random, maybe eluge (has ^ over both e's and is ancient greek for shadow, would work for either gender too) so something random and ancient of mythical or sommat, but im not gonna call em river or sommat, thats just mean (apologies to anyones whos put that  )

anyway if i got pregnant the kid'd go up for adoption most likely so id try to avoid naming, let the people who adopt do that, itd give them more of a link with the kid than most adopters get.

For a girl: Amy or Emma (the Friends/Rachel's baby storyline gets me every time)
For a boy: Jay or Nathaniel (I just love that name)
