Portia is one of the characters in Bridget Jones' Diary...has your girlfriend read it? If not it might be worth mentioning that the character in the book doesn't quite conjur(sp?) up the nicest image (sort of like naming a child Caligula (although not quite that bad

My girlfriend has certainly seen the film on TOO many occasions on sky. She got the idea of a play though, not sure which one. She ceratinly started liking it after reading the Merchant of Venice though but Portia is in Julius Caesar too, a bit more classical than Bridget Jones.

sadly juliet brings back nasty memories of gcse english lessons *shudders* its a pretty name i guess, dont you think itd end up being shortend to julie tho?

I know a couple of Juliets, pretty name. 'Izzy' is really cute

Yeah Julie isn't as nice. But at least I could call her Juliet. Dunno.... still got a lot of time to think these things through luckily!

We once had a cat that lived near us but we never found out who's it was. Anyway it came to our house practically every day.
We named it Catboy. We were very inventive.
