Wieght gain

Ok so I went to register at a new Gp and the nurse told me i was 6kg's underwieght, I've tried increasing the food I've eaten once before but it didn't work whatsoever. I eat 2 meals a day during the week (3 at weekends) all in all I have a heathly balance diet. So how exactly do I put on wieght?

Do not do the thing youre most probably inclined to do and start tucking into rubbish food like mcdonalds and things. Maybe treat youre food as a diet like other people do (to lose weight) setting yourself a target number of calories and an amount of for example protein and things. Maybe even ask your doctor to refer you to a nutritionist so that you can check out your diet.
To put on a bit of weight try doing things like increasing to three meals a day and two healthy snacks. Something like dried fruit, nuts, things like that.
It is however possible that youre designed to be thin, and so long as youre not anorexic or bulimic then dont worry too much. If youre able to get on with things as you wish, it could just be the way you are!
Also remember muscle weighs a fair amount. Maybe try some (gentle!) weights and things if you like exercising.

Well maybe you're just naturally small/thin :colondollar: It's not neccisarily ''unhealthy''. I'm not sure how to gain weight...try eating breakfast, dinner and tea. Snack on fruit in between. And add more calories and fat into your diet. The reccomended for women is 2000, raise this to 2500. Talk to your doctor about it - I'm sure she/he would advise you on how to go about gaining weight.

eat at least 3 meals each day and just generally increase your calorie intake quite alot (good calories)

im dangerously skinny.

5'11 18 yr old male, 8 and a half stone.

and i eat loads.

yep. i do weights too, and excercise a fair bit.

Most guys "round off" a bit around early 20s. Not finished growing yet!

you should take weight gain supplements if its that bad. i must of weighed about as much as you do when i was like 12.

your bmi would be like 15 or 16. it can make a person unhealthy.

i dont think it is giving me any health risks.

i have seen gp's (not specifically about this) and they havent mentioned anything.
