Ralph Lauren Polos - CUSTOM FIT vs SLIM FIT?

Hi,

I tried on other day couple of Slim Fit Ralph Lauren polos. I am thinking about ordering one online and I was wondering what is the difference between Slim Fit and Custom Fit polos?

To make it clear, I am size Medium in Slim Fit.

I don't think there is a difference essentially where looks are concerned. When you look at the prices, you might find Ralph Lauren custom polos are generally a little more expensive than slim fit polos. However they do both exceed the £70 mark. I don't think there's much difference at all.

Custom fit is the original Polo,I think they have slightly longer sleeves and are a bit looser. So they're good for wearing out casually. Slim fits can normally be worn with suits, they're more tailored and a bit tighter.

That's not quite right, there is standard fit which is the traditional, more sporting polo with longer sleeves and looser. Then there is custom fit which is slightly more slim cut, shorter sleeves and a drop from chest to waist. Slim fit is slimmer in both waist & chest (same drop as custom though) but same in the arms. Never wear a polo shirt with a suit.

Slim fit is tighter around the belly, and slightly shorter. Hence the slim.
