sheffield hallam chants

i recently went to a Hallam night (kingdom on a wednesday) and everyone was singing a song that started like this " i know a girl from sheffield uni...." and also some other songs, but i couldn't hear what else they were singing! for some reason this is really annoying me that i don't know what the Hallamers were singing about us uni girls ! Does anyone know?
not a clue, but kingdom is not a sheffield uni-ers place to be on a wednesday :P

(not that it bothers me)

p.s you tried google?
Haha, my mate is in the women's football team and she recently played Hallam. A favourite chant of their's was: "We'l be paying your wages!"

So we're just as bad!
I just loved going round France chanting:
"I'm Hallam 'till I die, I'm Hallam 'till I die, I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm Hallam 'till I die!"
i think that whole uni rival thing is so stupid. maybe im just being too sensitive but i think its so stupid the way the clubs try and stir it up..'like who heres from uni'..'who's hallam' loudest cheer wins etc etc..

and some of the chants i read in the steel press were horrible, im uni by the way, and i dont want to be seen by as a snob by any hallam people, so i wish uni students would stop acting so snobbish sometimes!!

like i said, i have a strong feeling im just being oversensitive and that no one really takes it that seriously..hopefully thats the case ! :P

No there really is a chant starting, "I know a girl form sheffield uni"... Its a gooden too .

well what is it then?
"when I was just a little boy, I asked my mother, what will I be? Will I be Hallam? Will I be uni? And here's what she said to me..

Wash your mouth out son, and get your fathers gun, and shoot the uni scum, shoot the uni scum..."

Oh I do love that one..

That is a poor chant, but i suppose you can't really expect much if hallamers made it up ....... hehe only joking :p:
well at the end of the day, no1 really hates anyone else, its a moral thing for the sports teams! as wednesday is also sports day/night so you have to keep moral up.

anyone who belives there is actually rivalry and that we hate each other is just dumb :P

thats like saying snowboarders actualy hate skiiers...
:ditto:

That is very true, Its all harmless jibes !!

It's the West Brom chant, "Boing Boing Baggies Baggies" - Hallam just couldn't come up with anything different - it's a random excuse for them to bounce around.
I love the SHU chants!

Originally t came from another chant.... but then the Sheffield Uni cheerleaders at the varsity competitiion years ago as a way to insult the hallam students ... saying how "easy" we all are... but when we wooped their asses the Hallam students started chanting it back as a way of rubbing it in.

Its kind of stuck ever since

Most of us dont bother with the Baggies Baggies bit anymore, when we score everyone chants Boing Boing, but didnt do much of that last season :frown:
It is a verse from a longer song titled Hallam Ranger

I met a girl from sheffield uni,
we just met and she said screw me,
this i tell you is no joke I'm gonna make her bum hole smoke,
cuz I like drinking,
in the morning,
in the evening,
IN THE NIGHTa

ps sorry for any offence
