there isn't a cure?

Go and see a dentist, but don't wash your mouth beforehand so it's as typical as possible. You could try buying a tongue scraper if you're that way inclined, use a mouth wash, have your teeth cleaned regularly and eat lots of fruit and veg!

*actually remembers something passed on from a clinical teacher, now there's a first!*

Try using mouthwash, make sure you gargle it, and if you don't want to use a tongue scraper, just make sure you brush your tongue.

Have something to eat and drink in the morning as well, this calms down your stomach acid that builds up over night that can add to the smell.
i have the sqame problem and i just use the usual extra chuddy!!!
i have tried to brush my tongue with a tongue scraper but they are only ok if you dont eat or drink after!!

Could it be related to another problem?

Maybe you could see a dentist, or a doctor depending on whether there are other problems..?

Drink water instead of fizzy drinks. And brush your tongue.
If nothing at all seems to help, go to your doctor. There could be something else causing it, like qexy-loz said.

Frequently it's tonsillitis and not your mouth at all. Sore throat?

I didn't mean to worry you with that post, but it is a possibility if it is a persisting problem. Better to be safe.

What is that medical term to describe smelly breath?

Tongue scraper, 3 full minutes brushing teeth, drink a glass of water first thing in the morning.

You only need to brush teeth for 2 minutes?
I have 'Black Tongue' (not anywhere near as bad as people in the images on Google have it though!) It causes bad breath, but scrubbing my tongue with toothpaste every time I brush my teeth does the trick. Look out for discolouration of the tongue, especially at the very back. It's due to the papillae growing too fast, and so they have to be worn down, because bacteria which cause bad breath find refuge inbetween them. Eating pineapple, and other fibrous fruit and veg also helps, by wearing them down.
A good scrubbing normally does the job though, unless I've gotten really drunk and slept with my mouth open...
Go to your doctors, and mention the condition by name. I had to see three doctors, and was given anti-biotics and an anti-fungal (which are obviously completely useless) before I was finally correctly diagnosed. It goes away with time (apparently my sis had it when she was younger).

I've just realised I've posted possibly one of the most unnattractive of my features on the net, given it a lengthy boring description, and it's still only a possibility of the problem... :blushing:

Just out of interest, what's the girls opinions having read that? Make me any more unnattractive? I mean, I always make sure it's sorted out before I go out, and I've never had any complaints from the girls I've kissed :p: But my morning breath is particularly bad. Fortunately (or should that be unfortunately?) it's a situation I've yet to come across...
