Very sadly, I did attend the funeral of an 18 year old girl last month. Jeff Buckley's Hallelujiah was played, one of her favourites. A wonderful song, but I don't know when I'll be able to listen to it again dry-eyed.
Two of her friends sang One Hand One Heart from West Side Story, a musical in which they'd all performed. Very poignant - I don't know how they found the strength to do it but they sang it beautifully.

It is a very good song. I'm sorry to hear of the circumstances it was played though, all my best. Matt

U2 - Beautiful Day
At my grandmas funeral, we played Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and Everybody Hurts, and a song from the carpenters, her favourite band.

I want a really really nice song ie everybody hurts, followed by the casper slide lol just so everyone knows i was fun hehe and dont want everyone crying their eyes out 4 days on end!

Bohemian Rhapsody

Or Faure's requiem.

Or Barber's Adagio

If I was cremated I'd have "So light up the fire and let the flame burn, open the door let Jesus return...."

Say you were to die tomorrow (God forbid) what song would you want played out at your funeral? would it be something cheerful to remember you by? maybe just your favourite song, maybe something sorrowful or maybe you'd go for the traditional hyms.

I'd say mine would be The Calling - Wherever you will go, jus for the fact its a unreal tune, closely followed by glory glory tottenham hotspur lol.

What would yours be?
ben by micheal jackson and the swan lake tune, its f**kin fantastic

I have a short-list:

The Wild Ones - Suede
The Book I Haven't Read - Lambchop
Crazy Horses - The Osmonds

I don't plan to die, so this isn't very relevant to me.
