Funeral for a Friend seems more appropriate.

That or 'into the old mans shoes' if your son happens to be a complete loser. Or if he isnt 'My fathers gun' especially if you happen to be from the American civil war era

Not many of those around, I'd imagine. How about The Ballad of Danny Bailey? - nothing to do with a funeral, but it's a good song nonetheless.

Hmm, buy Tumbleweed Collection. You'd enjoy it. Elton would be put in the same catagoray as Bob Dylan if he had not gone 'pop', I have no doubt about that. But respect for owning Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
Caribou is a **** album with one brilliant exception, the last song 'ticking'. Its very similar in subject matter to 'danny bailey' but many times better. A beautiful song, despite its morbidness.

Say you were to die tomorrow (God forbid) what song would you want played out at your funeral? would it be something cheerful to remember you by? maybe just your favourite song, maybe something sorrowful or maybe you'd go for the traditional hyms.
I'd say mine would be The Calling - Wherever you will go, jus for the fact its a unreal tune, closely followed by glory glory tottenham hotspur lol.
What would yours be?

I'd probably want that really sad one off the Titanic soundtrack, just to make sure there were tears
or Mad World.

It is a very good song. I'm sorry to hear of the circumstances it was played though, all my best. Matt

I want a requiem mass. Probably Mozart's. And then if I have all the music I want at it, it will go on for hours.
At my friend's Dad's funeral, the first I had ever been to, they played the original "American Pie" as they brought the coffin in, that made me cry right away.

REM 'Great Beyond' but only because the imagery of pushing an elephant up the stairs makes me chuckle.
