I can't find any information about full payment deadline.

I'd imagine you need to pay it to matriculate as you need to have set up some form of payment to pay in instalments by then. The deadline for matriculation is the 13th September but it's probably best to check by emailing [email protected].

Maybe they send them out in batches because the system can't handle them going out at the same time, I don't know.

This is a good point; I've received an email telling me not to email them requesting my room number, so maybe they think if they give them all out at once they'll be inundated with too many emails?

I emailed them on Friday to see if they could tell me my house number (I'm in Albany Park) for car insurance purposes - I need to renew my policy but I can't put down a term-time address if I, er, don't know it - and they're yet to reply.

I'm in Albany park as well, so happy as it was my first choice (ok I can't afford anything higher and i made sure they knew that!) I need to know my room number as well because I have to get my stuff shipped up, I got an email saying they cant give one because of 'operational reasons' but hopefully they'll understand!
Can't wait to be 30 seconds from the beach and some awesome house parties!

Batches are random, even if they have come out the past 2 Fridays it doesn't necessarily mean one was due out today I'm afraid.

I haven't been paying attention to know I'm afraid, but there doesn't need to be a batch every week.

Is there a date by which all offers have to be out?

Im struggling to find clear information about when accommodation fees need to be paid. It seems a bit strange that as far as I can tell it hasn't been brought to our attention despite the deadline for paying seemingly approaching which even if we pay in instalments will be thousands of pounds initially as we can't pay monthly for some unknown reason.

I emailed accommodation services a few days ago and they said that there will be a batch every week. Here is the automatic response I received:

"As you are aware, the 30 June guarantee date has now passed. All students that have applied for accommodation and have an unconditional offer will be allocated accommodation to one of their 4 preferences. If you do not receive an offer in the first batch do not worry. Not all allocations have been processed due to the high number of unconditional applications we have received. Offers will be sent out on a weekly basis from now on.
If your query is to find out what your room number is we cannot unfortunately give you this information until you arrive at your residence in September.

If your query is not related to this, please send another email with the heading Query 2.

Please bear with us at this extremely busy time.
Thank you for your patience."

I also received another reply, however it didn't really contain any useful information.

BTW, I'm an international unconditional offer holder and I have yet to receive my offer of accommodation.

Last year there was a way of paying 30% in October and 30% in January and then 40% in April. - this came of a debit card but had to be sorted out in September.

It depends how you want to pay them. You need to click through the pages from this page.
http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/students/money/tuitionfees/howareyoupaying/payingtheuniversity/payingaccommodationfees/

You can pay in instalments (http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/students/money/tuitionfees/howareyoupaying/payingtheuniversity/payingaccommodationfees/homestudent-fullyearoronesemester/accommodationfeeshomestudent/accommodationfeeshomestudentinstalments/instalments-cardpayment/#d.en.87538), with the first in October but you can't pay monthly. If you are having problems with any of the options, you could try emailing them to see if you can set up a monthly plan if you have a good reason for doing it that way. I'm not sure if they will be able to do it but if you don't ask then you wont know!

Thanks. Do you know when you set this up, is it when you matriculate in late August? I've looked through the accommodation bit on the website but there is nothing that hints at when you organise payment and it seems like a rather big issue for the university to just hope everyone finds that specific part of their website.

I think it is the date for all new students.
I sent an email last week and the answer was:

Dear ...
Thank you for your e-mail ...
Payment is to be received in full or an instalment plan setup no later than Friday 13th September 2013.

Kind regards
...

Guys, it says you have to set up your payments by 13th September, but you dont have to pay the first instalment until the 10th of October stpandrwfrigv.jpg
