Manchester City Council contracts a firm to clean the windows of every school in Manchester.

How much do you think this contract is worth?

Sounds a lot, but who knows?

Any idea how many schools there are in Manchester, how many m2 of windows there are on average in each school, how many times a year they're cleaned, or what the total cost of labor, equipment, plant, fixed oveheads, etc might be?

As I say it sounds a lot, but this sum might actually contain very little in the way of profit.

Why do window cleaners always come when
a) you're getting dressed

or

b) you've just got up and your hairs sticking up everywhere!

It goes without saying, if you sleep until late afternoon.

But I don't, and they don't come at the same time each time - sometimes it's 8am sometimes it's 10am! They're bonkers!
