What is it with mathematicians in this place naming themselves after the great and good? We have or have had a Newton, Feynman, Gauss, Euclid, Euler, Galois, Evariste, and heaven knows whom I've forgotten. There's also a Socrates out there.

Why don't other subjects do this? I haven't come across a Beethoven, Coleridge or Magritte? Why just mathematicians? :confused:

My A levels are in Maths (did in a year), Further maths, physics, chemistry, french and critical thinking if you feel like counting it (Oxford jsut said no general studies so im hopeful). I knew I should've dropped chemistry, and now its coming back to haunt me...
