I'd say wait at least half an hour, preferably longer after eating before exercising. As to what time of the day, I guess it depends on when yuo have time and what you're doing. I go running in the mornings (not in winter though!) as it's not too hot and is very peaceful.

I have heard from a number of different sources that you should leave it until two hours after eating before exercising.

the best time to exercise in my opinion is straight away in the morning before breakfast (if your aims are fat loss) and you should wait at least 25 mins after eating to exercise heavily really.

yeh I've also heard that you should wait 2hours before exercising. I personally think that the best time to exercise is first thing in the morning because it gets you really energetic and refreshed!

The eating and exercise thing doesn't matter, just leave long enough so that it won't cause discomfort or vomiting, which for some people can be 0 minutes and others can be 2 hours.

Can you please tell me what weight you use for your arms and what exercises?

I like going running early in the morning before I have anything to eat. Not sure if it is good for me or not though

Just measured - exactly 4.1cm, anything else bro?
The point is, you shouldn't exercise shortly before/after eating, because your blood supply is favoured towards the working muscles, rather than the digestive system. So if you exercise shortly before, your blood is still flowing through muscles to repair them, restore glucagon levels, remove excess carboxylic acid etc. And exercise shortly after, obviously meaning increased O2 supply, acid removal. In both situations, your food is not digested properly. I'd say it was best to leave it a minimum of 30 mins, but a full hour if possible.

No, thats complete ****, after eating your bloody supply is favoured towards your digestive system, and exercise will cause the blood supply to divert to working muscles. Either way, all that happens is the stuff you've just eaten floats about in a big puddle of acid in your stomach, and isn't digested, thats not to say it isn't digested properly, its just not digested, and when sufficient blood is provided to the digestive system again, your body goes back to digesting it. Either way, it makes little or no difference, except for the fact that you have a big puddle of food and acid in your stomach, which can a) cause you to throw up and b) cause discomfort/cramps whilst exercising.

You're meant to wait like an hour after eating before you excercise but I can eat up to like 15 mins before (nothing too heavy, just like toast and a couple of pieces of fruit) and then go on a proper run and still be fine. But some people take ages to digest and need a couple of hours. To each their own! Just see what works best for you.

you think you fully digest food in 15 minutes?

No I didnt mean that, I just meant I dont 'feel' it in my stomach so I can do heavy excercise without feeling ill. I guess I shouldnt use the word digest.

EDIT: Actually, yes digest is the right word. I dont fully digest my food, but at least partially so its not jumping around in my stomach making me feel nauseous.

Hi guys! When do you think is the best time in the day to do excercise? And how long do you have to wait after eating before you can excercise?

Couple of hours,
the best times to exercise are early morning or around 3pm
