It's a waste. It's not worth anything nor is it equivalent to a GCSE.

Basically it's a waste of time, although you may aswell do it since it's not hard at all.

Teachers always say a load of rubbish. It may be a level 2 qualification although let me tell you its worthless. If it was any good the whole of your school would have been chosen to do it.

If you achieve a maths GCSE grade A*- C then it is worthless. It won't be considered an extra GCSE.

If you don't do so well then many college courses and many employers (especially public sector) will accept a level 2 numeracy qualification as equivalent to a grade C maths GCSE. It's often done as insurance for candidates on the C/D borderline or below.

Depends, what grades have you got at the moment for GCSEs? Also, what courses are you interested in?

If you have a grade C Maths, the Alan test won't really count, it is always worth putting it down as a qualification though. The same will apply to English if you get a grade C or above.

And also, anything "equivalent" or "equal" to X GCSEs/A-Levels is almost certainly not seen that way. The business course would be fine for a small business or company etc. but for university A-Levels would be much

Stop moaning, it only takes about 20 mins/half an hour to do both of them, and it gives you something if you fail at GCSEs.
