condom coming off

just wondering if anyone else has the same prob as us, we find that, quite regulary, we 'finish' having sex only to find the condom has come off inside of me (especially when im on top, but not always).
Im on the pill so there are no contraception issues, more of a mess issue, but having to go to the bathroom to retreive it isnt the most romantic way to spend out post sex bliss!

are you putting it on properly? is it he is a bit small for the 'dom> perhaps you need to hold onto it

This quite often happens when after sex the condom is not held onto the man's penis when he withdraws. The base of the condom needs to be held to stop it slipping off and remaining inside you. *Courtesy of Sexpressions training i have done at uni*

either you're not putting it on properly, not holding it when he pulls out, or he's too small/not hard enough

thats what we thought but it's come off before he comes, b/c we check; he's deff hard and big enough, and its only when im ontop (which im not stopping b/c its his fave!).
It just seems odd that its usually only when im on top. any suggestions?
Are you perhaps too energetic / wild, thus not paying enough attention as to whether it is gradually slipping off during sex?!

I've just read what I've written: this is intended to be a serious comment, despite how it sounds!

Does the condom come off after or before he has ejaculated? If it comes off after then this is fairly common because his penis will be getting soft and will not hold the condom on. After having sex the guy should always hold the condom at the base of his penis to prevent it slipping off when he withdraws.

If the condom is coming off during sex when he is still aroused then switch condom brands or use a smaller condom. This problem is usually due to the condom being too big. If you insist it isn't too big then it could be caused by there not being enough vaginal lubrication during sex. This would prevent the condom from sliding in and out and it could get pulled off. Use some water based lubricant to keep things slick the next time you have sex and see if it continues to happen.

Another possibility is that he isn't maintaining a full erection whilst he's inside you and this is allowing the condom to slide off. Finally it might be happening if there is some dampness or lubrication inside the condom. It needs to be dry inside so it doesn't slide off.
Make sure he pulls out straight after he has come and holds the condom as he does so. Then he won't be so soft that it will come off. Hopefully.

would getting a smaller condom not be better?
Might actually be a case of needing a bigger condom contrary to what the "experts" on here say.

if it's coming off he's obviously not big enough to hold it on :| otherwise regardless of friction, it'd hold a lot tighter.

He's going to have to see how he goes holding it on as you're going at it, or you might have to invest in smaller ones :|

Sorry thats not true, ive had it happen to me once, and it was coz i stayed inside to long after i cummed, so basically i wasnt hard enough for it to stay on. Can also happen when your to big, nothing to do with being to small.

Sorry, but that is rubbish. If the condom is dry then it will stick to the head and decrease sensitivity. Better to check the brand, try some other sizes etc. Its far better to put lube inside the tip, then squeeze when you put it on as this increases sensitivity and reduces risk of sticking/tearing.

okay, after experimenting  we have figured out he needed bigger condoms, we did try smaller...and it was just funny! but after using bigger for the past couple of days it hasnt happened at all, (and after a burst of energy  making sure its on properly)
cross fingers that it works!
Pardon me for asking, but why would a bigger one stop it?!

If its too small, the condom i mean, then it doesn't roll down far enough, to hold properly. It can get ""caught" more easily and come off. At least, if my memories serving me correctly - thats what I read somewhere...
