Just thought I'd say, according to my maths teacher the A* boundary should be about 75- 80 :smile:

if that is the mark for an A*, then i'm very happy.

My school just gave me the paper back with correct answers on it. Being slightly harsh to myself I have 84, with a margin for error of 4 (stuff I can't quite remember I did). So around and above 80 i think. That should mean a score in the 90s should move me to a* I hope!!!!
I am praying for an easier calculator test lol....Tbh I always do better on it, so who knows. Gd luck every one.

Thanks for replying is the topics for calculator gona come up for sure?

It's not 100% certain, as no one can be sure. But it's worth going everything on that list, it can't be too different

I know this has most likely already been discusses however was it just me or did anyone else find that paper SO much harder than the previous papers of 2010 and 2009, with revision i thought i was going to a good A according to those test papers, now im not even sure if i got a B!
since last years paper grade boundries were;

1380 A* A B C D E F G
1380F Foundation tier Paper 1F 75 60 45 31 17
1380F Foundation tier Paper 2F 78 63 48 34 20
1380H Higher tier Paper 3H 89 69 49 30 18 12
1380H Higher tier Paper 4H 90 72 54 36 21 13

1380 A* A B C D E F G
1380F Foundation tier 153 123 94 65 36
1380H Higher tier 176 141 103 66 39 25

So last year we would of needed 49/100 to get a B, and i did that test paper and i got a good 10 more marks than i think i did in this paper! surely the marks will be lowered.

anyone who has a good idea could they predict the grade boundaries so i have a rough estimate of how many more points i need to get in Friday's paper to get an overall B securely
Mr.M how do u kno this ? I thought no one had answers yet :s-smilie:

@ccotto2
Which is why they made them harder. LOL

@peak27

B will be about 48-53 for boundary. Maybe different but close to this.
do you think the grade boundaries for an A have been lowered to 70%
or i 70% an A*?!?!
Original post by blaquebeau
or i 70% an A*?!?!

There's no possible way they would lower an A* to a 70, the average is 80-85...
Reply 1037
The boundary for an A has been 70% for a long time..

But A* at 70% the only time that happened was in 2004, when the test was lk extremely hard.
