go to the doctors we aren't doctors so can't know

Loads of chemists do free tests now, pop in there...they are always nicer than doctors.

Hypoglycemia, I assume, would be a more constant condition. Like you HAVE to have food every so often or you'll faint. I'd assume skipping breakfast just causes hunger. But since the condition runs in your family, I'd go and see a doctor.

Ours isn't. She growls when you walk in the door...

Hypoglycaemia is not a disease. It translates in to 'low blood sugar' - 'hypo..' = low, 'glyc..' relating to sugar and '..aemia' means blood.

Yeh, that sounds like hypoglycaemia to me, well thats what happens to me when I go hypoglyceamic, solution? Eat a banana, then some oats.

I have the same symptoms along with anxiety when Ive not eaten for a while, when I test my blood sugar though its normal

Skipping breakfast makes me hungry and light-headed too. Eat breakfast, its good for you.
Unless as well as feeling light headed you have been finding that you are drinking lots and weeing lots recently, and possibly have had recurrent thrush or cystitis outbreaks, then you should be fine. (in which case, diabetes is a possibility and you should get it checked out by your friendly local pharmacist who can then ease you worries or refer you on to you not quite as nice GP if necessary)

i've noticed recently that if i forget to eat breakfast in the morning, i become really light-headed and i get very shaky. i thought it was just becasue i was hungry, but someone i know told me that it's not normal and that i could possibly have hypoglycemia, and i found out that it runs in my family. does anyone else have any opinion?

Not hypoglycemia.
