Ronaldo scored 42 goals in a season, in a united tea
Which he carried for the double, and is far weaker than the real Madrid side he is in now.
Ronaldo is much better now than he ever was in England, you clearly dont watch him.
The fact that you believe la liga to be a two horse race shows you watch very little of it and know nothing about football. The bottom sides in la liga would destroy the bottom teams in England. In the Europa league Spanish sides like atletico madrid smashed fulham.
Just because Barcelona and real Madrid are the two best teams in the world (fact) doesn't make the rest of the league weak. This season I dare you to step outside of the epl which you have been brainwashed into thinking is the best league and watch la liga. You will see the quality of football is much higher. If you can't see it then you know nothing about football.
Messi clearly doesn't rely on xavi and iniesta. Again, it seems like you don't watch any football you just used box standard arguments you hear from everyother ignorant English "football supporter"
I'm English btw, before you say I'm biased, and I watch every la liga and epl game so I can compare accurately.

I agree, compared to Messi;

-he is faster
-stronger
-better in the air
-more skillfull (although, not a better dribbler admitedly)
-better from set pieces (esp. freekicks)
-scored 52(?) goals in a season, in which he was below par and sticken with injury
-scored 42 in EPL, doubt Messi could cope in the EPL
-lol, i will repeat the fact that Messi has an awesome team around him

nb: messi is awesome too lol

Complete *******s.

He lacks Messi's vision and decision making skills, is an inferior finisher and, most importantly, is almost entirely impotent against strong full backs.

The last time a team outside of Real and Barca won La Liga was over 7 years ago-t was Valencia and they had two strong seasons yes, but since then haven't been anywhere near a serious challenge, and nor have Athletico Madrid. I bet you next season only Barca or Real will win the league-that is a two horse race-if you think different then you are clearly the one that doesn't follow La Liga. The 20 point gap between Real in 2nd and Valencia in 3rd just highlights my point...

The bottom sides in la liga would destroy lower prem teams? Don't make me bloody laugh. If you honestly think that then theres no reasoning with you. Newly promoted Newcastle beat Deportivo, the Spanish champions from ten or so years ago in pre season. Okay its pre season but this is the only comparison I can use because obviously comparing lower teams is basically impossible. Still, hardly destroyed is it?

Spanish teams are successful in the Europa League yes i'll agree with you, however my point about a two horse race still stands. The teams just below Real and Barca are very good, but the other 15 or so in the league are terrible. The quality isn't really spread out as much as the Premier League, although obviously the bottom teams in that are also poor.

Sigh, and you clearly didn't get the point I was making about Messi. I don't think Messi relies on Xavi or Iniesta-I think he's the best player in the world. I was trying to consider things from other peoples point of view-something you seem incapable of-and I was attempting to prove people who think Messi is reliant on Barca wrong.

I'm not saying all other leagues are terrible, I don't really know where you're getting that from. However the premier league is more diluted than La Liga-Barca and Real are better than Manu/Chelski yes and indeed the Prem is overrated, but the rest of the teams simply can't compete. How many solid international players can you name in the relegated teams from La Liga this year? Exactly.
All I can say is your wrong

I've always maintained Zidane is better than Maradonna, who agrees?

nb: I also think C.Ronaldo is better than Messi (for several other reasons).
