Not compared to Chad's ore Trevs. I think it's bigger than Castle and Hatfield though!

My 2004/5 prospectus says 916 students,which makes it medium-sized.

Well the actual "Grey College" isn't small, it's massive, far larger than, say Collingwood, which is one of the biggest colleges!

oh how odd i always thought it was a smally - shows what i know i spose!
What this shows is that noone really knows anything about Grey. I'm convinced it's fantasy college, there to make up numbers - I mean, I've never actually MET anyone from there.

Those are the only 'students' at Grey, hired to keep up the facade that it's a fully functioning college.

I start saying silly things when I'm overtired. Good night, all.

Someone from my school went to Grey this year and then droppedout, maybe they found out the shameful secret?

Erm, just so we don't put the poor girl off Durham and Grey altogether....we're just joking about a lot of this!

Grey is a nice college with nice grounds, an awesome view of the Cathedral and some nice accomodation (I stayed there for a random open day thingy back during Sixth Form). The people I know at Grey are pretty cool, and the location is great if you do a subject that is based at the Science Site.

Partying - what you make of it, if you're a big clubber then Newcastle isn't too far away for it, but otherwise the college bars and college events are awesome, and there's also university wide events and some decent clubs, pubs and bars around Durham.

One thing I'd like to say about the whole "Durham - Newcastle" thing is that if you went to Newcastle Uni, you'd never visit Durham....which is a shame because it's such a great city! However, being in Durham you get to have the amazing city to live and study in, and you're not too far away from Newcastle which, yes is great for shopping and clubbing, but not like an amazing city to live in!!

Nope....pretty sure no college can be classed as "boring" - colleges are what you make of them. There are always chances for you to organise events and such, colleges aren't like "Halls of Residence" where it's just a place you live ran by some random Residential Manager people. It's a living community where the students have a big say in what goes on and everyone is part of it

Mildert, full of inward-looking people who make crappy toasties and are too scared of outsiders so ask for your campus card to get into the bar 6 nights a week

:p:

Sorry, I couldn't read that post as I was too busy crouching behind my chair at the thought that someone from another college was talking to me...
Ps: We have nice toasties and a brilliant selection of ale.

Oooh careful on that one, Trevs doesn't exactly look nice from the outside....and Collingwood just looks like a bigger version of Trevs so it doesn't look much better!
