Fillings?

I went to the dentists yesterday, and they rang me up today to tell me that my x-ray showed that I have to have a filling :frown:

So I was just wondering, how many of you actually have fillings?

EDIT: I don't know why I put this in general discussion. If anyone could move it to health and relationships or show me how to move it, it would be much appreciated :smile:

. I probably will need one soon enough though, I have a tiny hole but the dentist said it's fine as it is cos it's not growing...yet!

I had my first 2 in one go when i was 18 (it must have been because i drank a lot of fizzy drinks in a short time period). I couldn't have the anaesthetic as i saw the needle and didn't want it anywhere near my mouth - i'm a bad patient at the dentist too.

It wasn't great fun, at first it's not so bad, then it starts getting deeper and that hurts. The smell of burning enamel made me feel sick the rest of the day and i had a headache too.

I think I had one when I was 7. I've had no more since. My dentist tells me I have excellent teeth. :biggrin:

I only have one filling, but it's a white one so you can't really see it. I've also had three teeth pulled out because of decay, though.

I've never had one. Everytime i go to the dentists i convince myself that i'm gonna need one.....but nope havn't so far. :smile:

I have a few fillings and a crown, my dentist is a psycho and gives me injections almost everytime i go.

Me too, that's why i had it done with no anaesthetic. It's not so bad, it's only a few seconds where it's unpleasant - it's more the smell and the headache it gave me.
