UCl lawyers are pretty - not necessarily posh.
You might want to reconsider that.

Not as posh as my mate who went to the same school.

Well, I know some UCL lawyers who certainy aren't posh or toffs.

Did meet one member the nobility while at UCL - he's rejected it all and was working an extra shift for £20 at the Union.

If posh is something derived purely from accent then that might be possible.
Although I dont have an accent: I speak English how it should be spoken (God bless JC).
Based on anything else I am not at all posh. Indeed I am less posh than yourself.
My spare time is spent doing things that the majority of the middle and upper classes (and a good proportion of the working classes) have never heard of or seen.

It is quite amusing how some people I have never met are speculating as to my "toffness".
And how damn sexy I am.

Boy this post is pointless.

Your attitude doesn't leave much to be desired in that regard.

I should meet Phonicsdude at some point, over booze and lots of it.

I doubt he'll come over as toffish (for law students or in general). Maybe he was just being toffish to impress you Xanthe?

    Post 68. Re-read the first 4 or 5 lines.

You seem to think that being posh is based purely on accent?
If that is the case, then the very notion of posh is inverse snobbery at its worst.

Unless of course you're now willing to accept that Im not posh!?

...or bring in new evidence as to how Im posh.

Not that you're Jesus of Suburbia or anything...

I reckon Phonicsdude should upload his voice on to a sound file so that we can all hear what he sounds like. Then create a poll...

My view? You're posh. End off.

You think poshness is based SOLELY on one's accent.
In practice the use of such a word is as bad as racism (for it has derogatory connotations).

Anyhoo, at least this gives me a legitimate excse to call you a paki.

    You suck. End of.

Id like to clarify two things:
    1) I am not a racist.
    2) I did not call her a 'paki' but was merely remarking that if stereotypical remarks about characteristics one has little or no say over are OK, then racism is fine.

Id also like to say tis the season to be jolly.
I come across a little (a lot) serious sometimes, but tis tinternet.

Talking of which, this is the first christmas in a very long time when there hasnt been tinsel on my tree.
