i found the paper pretty hard!
i didnt get to finish or even start evaluating for the last question :frown: but i always have time management problems, how about you guys?
definitely thought the second section was easier than the first -wish i'd started on that first!

also doing morrisons and have the 96 page booklet! i havent properly read it yet, but when you say its got 'all the possible questions they could ask' does it actually have every possible question we could get or is that just my wishful thinking??

also, i dont really understand the grading for this - does each paper (including AS) count as 25% each of the final a level? if so, how can 53/80 be equal to an A for this paper when an A overall is 80%? 53/80 is only 66% , i have A's (82 and 86%) in each AS paper but surely with 66% equalling an A for this i could effectively get four As in the papers and still end up with a B overall??
im not sure if that makes any sense, but any help would be appreciated! i would ask my teacher but she's never in school..

I think you're getting percentages and ums confused, they're not the same thing. you need 320 ums overall to get an a which is 80 +80 +80 + 80 so you can't get all a's and get a b overall  hope this is some help! Also I totally agree, second section was way easier

Hello  I managed to get all the questions done, I recognised I was running out of time and missed out a 6 marker which I flew through in 5mins at the end

With regards to the Morrisons Booklet, My teacher told me it literally had every possible question they could ask us in it. I haven't properly looked through it yet, but the exam questions have to be based on the pre-release material, and this booklet analyses the pre-release material and works out all the questions they could ask us! However its very possible that they have missed out something, but thats all I'm gonna be using

Your AS exam is 50% of your overall grade. The exam board convert your raw mark (out of 80) into a UMS Mark (out of 100), so the marks you got on results day should have shown your raw mark AND your UMS mark.
The UMS mark is a conversion of your raw mark into a "uniform" mark. I dont fully understand it, but don't worry, its done so that its equally weighted. If you get all A's you will acheive an A overall

Same, me and my class found it easy, the only question we all found hard was the specialisation one, but other that that it was alright. We got the morrisons paper on the 20th, don't think it'll be that bad, i got the toolkit and that analysis of the pre release so it should be alright.

This paper was alright, however the case studies didnt have enough info on some parts, although the paper was still do-able!

I brought in quite a few of my wider reading case studies, however on some part my stats got mixed up , do you reckon i will be penalised for this
Btw was it me or the last question all about globalistation and like integrating economies?

Hi,

I also had some troubles with managing time efficiently and I missed out to address numerous points in the last question.

As I have heard so far, giving real life examples can worth marks. I was able to put a number of them in section B, but not in section A. Want to hear your experiences in this regard as well. Were you able to include real examples abundantly?

Hi,

Please note that the 66% marks (53/80 x100) you are getting in each of the AS units is just the raw mark, and not overall UMS. When it will be converted to UMS mark, it will turn to 80% - Just see:
{(66+66) / (80+80)} x 100 = 82.5%
