i can wiggle my fingers but it hurts and feels slightly numb near the top of my forearm. Just dont want to go to the hospital then have to wait for hours unless its broken.

Well bottom line is you're not gonna know unless you go, are you. If it's hurting unbearably then go. If it's bearable then maybe wait till morning and go see doc.

I had an accident on my bike and refused to go to the hos as i would have had to leave my bike on the side of the road but my arm is really hurting.

Does anyone know how to tell if its broken or not?

yup - go to hospital!

If it was more than 24 hours ago, you might need to get a gp referal, if not, just front up - you'll need an Xray.

If it is broken and you leave it you risk doing some serious damage to the neves of your arm and hand.
Go to the hospital for a check up NOW.

I feel off my bike a year ago september, with only minimum grazing - hell i rode my bike home after I got back up!

But I now have permentent problems with my knees, despite the fact that there was no appant damage wheni first fell off.

Go to the hospital and get checked out, for your own mind, and so you are not stuck like me woundering if a hospital trip would have meant I oculd avoid my knees getting so bad.

If its bad enough that you think its broken, its worth getting checked
