I feel sick :(

Dunno what's up with me right now - I can't seem to stop feeling sick! I haven't eaten a proper meal for a while, just cos I don't feel like I could keep it down...and it's constant as well, not just a morning / evening thing. The other night I tried to make myself sick, just because I hate the feeling of wanting to be sick but not actually throwing up...that sounds kinda disgusting...but anyway it didn't work. Any ideas on what I can do / anything I can take? :confused:

Go to the doctor! It's not good for you to go on without eating a proper meal. They should be able to get to the bottom of it or may be able to give you some anti-nausea tablets or something.

I had that to a lesser extent for over a year and the doctors really weren't helpful. They can prescribe something like metoclopramide which reduces nausea though, so it's worth going. Eventually I changed my contraceptive pill from cilest to cerazette (progesterone only) and *touches wood* that's helped loads. I also have a phobia of being sick so it's partially psychosomatic but anyway. If you're on an oestrogen pill they can cause nausea. And go and see the doctor :smile:

Actually one more thing - I can't make myself throw up, which is so annoying - I'm not saying I want to become bulimic or whatever to try and lose weight or anything like that - I just want this feeling to go away! But i just retch, it's pretty horrid. :frown:

well, if it's any consolation, if you can't throw up then your body probably doesn't really want or need to. Hope everything goes well at the doctors :smile:
