How are you told you have been disqualified from an exam?

How are you told you have been disqualified from an exam?

Whether it be the result of being caught with a phone, iPod, communicating with other students or any other breach of exam board rules.

Are you told there and then by the invigulator or are you sent a letter or something?

Thanks

Why do you want to know?

your not, you dont know until you get your results (if you get your results :L)
I think that you would be told by letter, but they would probably say right after the exam that they are going to report you

Don't worry, I read your other thread, and you are highly unlikely to be disqualified for that. Just forget about it, really. Concentrate on your other exams - or relaxing!

Invigilator to you:
GTFO
The other days, when i did my M1 exams, I passed the paper later, than others, extra time(they asked do you have or not, I told check it, they told no, but then they just ignored me). Unfortunately, some snitches told it to the person who manages the examregulations in the school. Will I get disqualified or is there any way to escape it? T_T! Crying!

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
I mean, some people told a lie to the school ingivilator, as if I used an unfair extra time, but I did not, therefore I am in trouble as they don't believe me!!

I was told via letter, though the school/college are told first so they may ring you rather than forward the letter.

Did you the school report you to the exam board? Did you get disqualified?

at my schools, invigilators tell the head of exam office and she is 'obliged' as she says to tell them and will do because of fair practice and honesty, but she said you would know because you should stop writing as soon as they say and not take in authorized instruments in. I think they would tell you. One girl however got disqualified for doodling :/
Another girl however was stilling writing as the lady came to take her paper and nothing happened to her.

Do you think my friend has to worry in his maths exam he wrote a few answers that he had put on the paper on his hand so that when he was out he could talk to others about it and remember what he had put. Is he ok because it wouldnt count as cheating will it serious answer please

In my school a girl was seen talking just after the exam when the papers were being collected so the invigilator ripped up her paper then and there and told her she had been disqualified. I think it might be different for other schools.. this is a very extreme method!

I was tempted to do this in my Spanish exam so I could look up certain words but thought better of it.

I don't think it's punishable but the situation may have been misinterpreted and they might think he had it on his hand before the exam.

Can't answer that because I've never been disqualified.
