Totally agree. Ive never seen newspapers such as the Sun with features such a 'page 3' in France or Italy (although I may be wrong)...it says something though...if it was 'ok' and acceptable and not degrading or offensive then they would have page 3 too


You should travel more, Italy especially, has topless women dancing around on game shows from what I can remember, not to mention the fact it shows sex scenes in the afternoon with no problems or comments from viewers, and I would know since I have family friends who live there, and have visited Italy and France on many occasions. :p:

The comments that go with the woman are sexist, chauvenist and yes, pussy as it sounds, degrading! Even though parents are the ones upbringing the girls, this doesn't mean that its not them deciding for themselves what to do. Its their conscious decision to do that, and i disagree with it. There are plenty of decent jobs in the world, why resort to posing half naked or whatever just to get the extra cash and have men slobbering all over you? Hardly complementary in my view.

Well as everyoens is differnt im sure you cant decide for them, and im thinkin a person whos morals tells them page 3 is wrong probably wont buy the sun
Since when did nudity become this immense force of taboo? (If you actually want me to answer, it's since organised religion was around, but that's really not the point) What is so special about not having clothes on that suddenly makes you degrading? Or is it the idea that men are having sexual thoughts about them that makes it degrading?

If so, why are physical stimulus any different to mental? Why is sex such a taboo (same answer as above) that means the enjoyment one gains from staring at a pair of tits is morally worse than having a debate about, gee I don't know, the morality of softcore porn?

My bf and I were having a discussion about Page 3 and I guess Keeley was proud on having passed 2 (or was it 4) GCSEs or some crap like that. I guess she's practically the smartest girl ever on Page 3...What a genius.
why do some of you seem to find it degrading that men might find the women attractive, you cant say in all honesty that its degrading for men to find women attractive or vice versa. Men and women do that all the time.

Why is the issue page 3 exclusivley when there are lots of other magazines where men can see the same.

Im guessing the argument is that the Sun and Star is a newspaper, and so having a topless woman in there and not a man is degrading women.But do any people really buy the Sun and Star for a serious look at the news, or is it perhaps bought in the samefashion as a magazine?

I said i find it degrading and am not enforcing my moral values on you or anyone else. Thats how i feel and there are plenty of people who likewise feel the same. Yeah if some people have the same moral values as me, they wouldnt buy the Sun.. we agree!

Its not the idea of a man finding a woman attractive or vice versa. Its how they are being looked at, comments that go with it - for me, people look at them like meat, things rather than people.. Why when a girl who dresses provocatively walks down the street, do guys whistle and call her names (slut etc)? And why do some girls call them cheap? Yeah sure, you find them attractive but why the degrading comments?
No one has said that its degrading to find either sex attractive btw!!
