i used to work in the bursar's office there - the main impression i got was that it was very rich, and as it wanted to keep it that way, it took a lot of overseas students. also chelsea clinton went there. in terms of niceness/ location, it looks lovely and is right on hight st, (which is a good location)

Thanks,
Do you know what the social life is like there. Nothing much is said about it?
Hey,

Have you got a place or are thinking of applying?

I applied there this year and stayed a week for the interviews but sadly got rejected as I loved it! The place itself is a bit of a maze with a mixture of accomodation (60s buildings mixed with lovely old ones!) and the church bells ring every 15 mins! Food was also very nice eaten in a seating grand area

The people there were really chilled out and friendly and it felt like a very communal atmosphere! about 20 of us all went out 2 nights in a row and got drunk and it was very easy to meet people and get on with students already there with a mixture of both public and state schools students!

but overall I had a great time and applied for the following reasons

1)sheltered from gawping tourists
2) Rasputin's assasinator went there!
3)great location next to starbucks and a 2 min walk from the centre
4) all the tutors were very friendly and helpful!

Hope this helps!
If you want anymore info feel free to PM me! (although I can only give you info on my week there and if you have an offer you probably know more than me lol!)

2) Rasputin's assasinator went there!

Hi,
I was just wandering if anyone knows about univ at Oxford.
What is it like? There is not much about it

Univ has produced a populist President, a Pope, three Prime Ministers, a pernicious Prince, a popular physicist, and a poet laureate.

(Bill Clinton, can't remember, Harold Wilson (as a tutor), Clement Attlee, Bob Hawke (Prime Minister of Oz), Rasputin's Assasin, Stephen Hawking, Andrew Motion).

Legend has it that Univ was founded by Alfred the Great!
