Hearing.

If you were told your hearing was below 'normal', would you check it out?

I was given a phone number which is some RNID test thing, and apparently my hearing is actually below normal. I do ask people to repeat what they say but I don't think my hearing is that particularly bad. I may just go to the doctors and see if they can syringe it (though I can't see any wax or feel any water in my ears) and see how it is after that.

Apparently, hearing 'below normal' is really common, so is there any point in getting it checked out?
If you're concerned get it checked.

If you feel there is not much of a problem then you may as well get it checked just to be on the safe side.

But from what you say, you seem fine.

However, it may detiorate if there is something wrong. Perhaps, stroll on the side of caution.
Your right - it is meant to be quite normal.

But get it checked out just in case - it will do more good than harm.

if it is worrying you, even slightly bugging you, which i think it is, its totally a worth a visit to the GP to get it checked out.
It's when you keep being asked "you goin' deaf or something?" and you hear that on the phone...it sort of enforces the idea that there could be something wrong :P

I might as well get it checked out. No harm in it.
