I think English is supposed to be very competitive!

Reply 2

Probably the same as other uni's; Law, Medicine, English, History ...

Reply 3

Medicine is supposedly quite popular. I applied there, it seemed to be a good course for music.

Reply 4

Thanks, I had a feeling those were the competitive subjects, but there was a link on the website, which said that Philosophy and Archeology were amongst the most popular subjects, which I found surprising.

ice cube, did you get an offer?

Psychology is meant to be very competitive at Edinburgh too. I've forgotten the figures for the applicants-places ratio but a lot of people are disappointed every year.

I honestly dont know about the course at edinburgh , but i would assume the job prospects are good as with any maths related course, also the maths department at Edinburgh is in the top 11 in the country so that will help you as well. Maybe you should go to an open day and ask about the course structure.
Good luck! :top:
