I have a feeling (and kind of hope) everyone's going to tell me i'm being stupid. But I found some pretty hardcore porn on my boyfriends computer. WHY?! Why does he do it? Am i not good enough for him? Does he find them attractive? I confronted him and he said blah blah "he does it to turn him on" and that he "only does it when he's away at uni" but :frown:

i don't know what to think, it makes me feel really, i don't know, unwanted...isn't it like looking at someone else and wanting them? What's the difference? This sucks. Please help

the amount of girls i find who are surprised that men they know watch porn is really unbeleivable - men like porn, they jerk off. its not like cheating and it doesnt mean theyre going to cheat. they still love/like you/want to be your funkbuddy.

I'm not suprised!!! And he doesn't know i'm bothered, i'm hardly going to stop him from doing it, he's always done it. I just don't get how you can justify it as a completely seperate thing and that it's "ok" I know he'd be p**sed off if he found me doing it. But it's ok for him. Why?

I sympathise, though this is I guess a flaw in most guys, which we all have to accept (apart from those girls who like porn too).

I think most blokes would be over the moon to catch their girlfriend enjoying some adult cinema...

Isn't it just a form of entertainment both women and guys can enjoy? It doesn't mean to say you have to watch it, its just there if you want to look at that sorta thing. Its completely seperate to whats happening in real life.

and to the opening poster, looking has no correlation to touching, Just because he looks doesnt mean hes going to cheat or anything.

if you're really stressed by it, why dont you get a digital camera and whilst hes at uni send him dirty pictures of yourself to keep his mind on track?

I'd hate it if my boyfriend watched porn. Luckily, I know that he doesn't! Yes, I know lots of blokes do, and looking doesn't mean touching, but that's no excuse in my opinion. I could just about understand it if a chap's single, but if he has a girlfriend it just seems...well, rather dishonourable. Call me old-fashioned if you like, but it's what I believe.

Yeah, from what I gather men are able to pyschologically spereate the two (becuase of the nature of the male brain) whikst girls see things as being linked, especially the whole relationship and sex thing. Basically don't worry about it because put simply the porn is in the "sex" portion of the mind where the aim is to "jerk off" whereas you are in the relationship section. He won't have linked the two in the way you have. It may be hard for you to understand but you just have to rationalise it.
