Does she like me? I like her.

Right i'm gonna be grown up about this and not abuse the anonymous button as thats the whole point of having a username.

Theres this girl at college i really like. We're quite friendly with each other and she smiles and says hi whenever we see each other but at other times she doesn't totally acknowledge. The only problem is that shes very good friends with my best mate. Should i let this get in the way or not?

I really don't know what to do so advice would be appreciated.

No she doesn't like you at all, I would know this because I know her personality and I have seen the way she acts around you. I have also heard a couple of things from her friends. Don't bother chasing her, your best mate is obviously better looking that you, more interesting and she is interested in him.

Read self help books and may be books by some PUAs. You don't seem to have spoken to her properly and it's evident she's not attracted to you at the moment. This can be remedied but you have to act really charming and seem as though your the most interesting and mysterious guy in the world to create attraction - this can be learnt to some degree (PM me if you want some books I've read that may help?). The most important thing though is to talk to her and appear confident in doing so!

Ok the first thing I would say is how good friends is she with your mate?
Not because it affects whether she likes you or not, but just because going out with your best mate's best mate is a horrible thing to do as it puts them in the most awful position. Trust me - i've been the best friend in the middle far too many times. From your point of view it would also make it very awkward if she said no
I haven't a clue whether or not she likes you but provided it's unlikely to cause strife between you and your mate then hell just go for it

If she smiles at you and says hi that obviously means she does like you, at least a *little* bit - otherwise why should she bother? Go for it.

With all respect, I think you completely missed the point of his post.

I'm sure everyone one here sympathises with you, but really there is nobody on here that can answer your question. None of us know you or the girl, so the only way you will find out if she likes you is to ASK HER YOURSELF!!!
