Now I was in the process of writing a fairly large post but once i clicked send the thread was closed. Fortunately I copied and pasted it first. (past experience has taught me that!) So if it's ok with the mods, can I just post this up so he can see it beacuse I feel it's good advice and I spent some time on it and do not wish for it to go to waste. Thanks!!

If any girl is interested in you, but then is more interested in your brother once she has met him, then she's not worth it. You want a girl who is interested in ONLY you. There are girls out there. And if she was interested in you for a bit, it shows that you're not "butt ugly" or she would never have been AT ALL. Not EVERY single girl finds the same guy hot. Just as not EVERY single girl finds the same guy ugly. And just because you regard yourself ugly, it doesn't mean he's a much nicer person than you at all! If you don't have the looks, you'll have somethin else to make up for it. let that be personality or intelligence or a skill.

Remember, you're not ALWAYS with your brother anyway and he isnt going to stop any girl that you encounter because different girls like different things. It sounds as though girls are only attracted to him because of his looks. Do you really want a girl to like you for what you look like? or do you want it to be deeper than that? Therefore, if you want the latter, you will have no problem because once a girl likes you, you know she likes you for WHO you are, not WHAT you are.

I think this is a good idea as well - gradually get a new different cool style thats unique that maybe includes a bit of goth or whatever. Girls like guys who are different and a lot if you notice like style over looks.
