Thanks guys you have both been prominent helpers on TSR and also the studentnurse forums from when I first applied to University, during my training and now being qualified. Thanks for all your help!
1st-year student Nurse, just finished my 4th week of theory, got another 6 weeks to go before my very first placement! nervous but excited!

just a general question, what type of shoes would anyone suggest for clinical placements? my uni guidelines state black lace up but as you can imagine there is plenty of choices so their recommendation of 'black lace up' is very broad.

I know that a lot of people recommend Clarks shoes, mainly the Unloop although these are not lace ups. Lots of shoe brands aimed at older people (Hotter etc.) have black leather lace up shoes which are very comfortable. I personally wear black leather Vans as I find them them comfy and practical. The most important thing is that they are waterproof and that you can wipe them down easily - the fewer seams the better for cleaning and disinfecting.*

Hi! I know some of you will be finishing your BN degrees now and starting work. If you would like to take part in some study days (CPD training) or even if you're still a student and would like to take part in a study day have a look at what we offer at Bangor Uni- https://www.bangor.ac.uk/healthcaresciences/courses/short-courses.php.en
We are also running an international health research Summer School, this is more for Postgraduates who are interested in research - https://www.bangor.ac.uk/healthcaresciences/research/summer-school-2018/index.php.en
Please get in touch with any queries.
All courses are certificated and hours count towards revalidation.
Anyone available for an phone interview right now I need it for school please let me know
