Wrong, however I see where you have derived your answer from...You have simply done 41÷5=8.2 (Number Of Hours Worked In Week÷Amount of Days=Hours Per Day Worked) and thought this is 8 hours and 20 minutes of work a day thus 40 minutes break a day. However, you have failed to realise that 0.2 does not refer to twenty minutes it refers to 0.2 of an hour, thus 0.2x60=12. Therefore, the amount of time in a day spare is 9 hours-8 hours and 12 minutes=48 minutes. Thus, the way I believe this to be divided up over a 5 day week is being at work 9 hours a day with a 48 minute break every day working a total of 8 hours and 12 minutes a day.

Yes I do Mathematics A-Level and yes I am a pety little man... lol

I think you will find that the number of hours you work per day is not equal. For example, it is quite common to work longer days on mon-thurs, and then have a short day on friday. No company I have ever worked for would say, "you have exactly 48minutes a day for lunch", haha. It is impossible to predict the exact time per day, because every company is different (and it may even be flexi-time which complicates things more).
