I have dark blonde head hair which I have highlighted to make it lighter. Anyway for a while I've been noticing occasionally I have an odd black hair which is coarse and (sick I know) resembles a pube. The root of these hairs is unlike the roots of my other hair, it's sort of greasy and is like a drop on the end of the hair which moves about. It's really gross and I've tried Googling about it but can't find anything. Does anyone have a similar problem or know what it is?

How is this a problem? It's not even that anomalous.. We're not all symmetric genetically ordered beings you know.

The sides of my hair are black, the top is auburn. Between them is a gradual change so it doesn't look out of place. Half my body hair is dark brown, the rest is light red. No mix. you could get a marker and divide them up. I never thought anything was wrong..

i dont get what you mean at all about the root thing at all....but finding random black course curly like things among my normal hair..yeah i do now and then..its really strange....iv got brown hair so possibly less noticable...anyway..its nothing to worry about, just one of those things
