Morning after pill or not?

Hey, I was wondering if I could have some advice. I haven't had sex with my boyfriend yet but on Monday night/Tuesday morning we got naked and kind of fooled around. He didn't come, nor was there any penetration, but as there was no condom I was wondering if the morning after pill would be a good idea? I went to get one today but didn't realise it would be so expensive and didn't have enough money. Since then, I've read some posts on this forum saying it's not a good idea to take it unless it's absolutely necessary, and now I'm confused - should I get one or not?

Any (kind) advice would be much appreciated.

If he didn't come and there was no penetration then you're safe. Well unless he was kinda fooling around with it at the entrance... sorry to be so blunt. But you're right taking it unless you need to is bad bad bad. For one thing taking a 2nd within 3 months could be very hazardous to your health and if there's a chance you might sleep together in that time... don't wanna use up your chance eh? Also it's like a 3 day hangover - you're putting a LOT of chemicals in your body at once :frown: Besides monday night til tomorrow... that's 3 days anyway and after that it's useless

No they don't! It's £25 at Boots! Free from your GP or local family planning/sexual health clinic...
It largely depends on the pharmacist.
Yeah sounds like you are okay. I seriously wouldn't take it unless you need to. A while back I had to take two within 3 months and my cycle still hasn't sorted itself out over 6 months on and I was very regular before I took them. So yeah I would say unless you really think you should just don't take it.

By the way most boots do give it to you for free if you are under 16 I'm not sure if they do if you are over though.

My local pharmacist gives it for free, as does my uni medical centre (although they'll offer you an appointment in 4 days if you try and get it  )

I had my drink spiked one night and woke up in a strangers bed. When I got home I went to my local doctors to get the morning after pill. I explained at reception why I needed a doctor and I got an appointment straight away and the pill was free.

If you ever need the morning after pill please just go to your doctors and tell the receptionist why you need a doctor instead of being embarrassed and risk waiting too long for an appointment.

Boots charge. It's their policy.

It's also Government policy that pharmacists charge. They're not medically qualified and the main point of the charge is to prevent people relying on the morning-after pill as their contraceptive of choice...

same here, and he did come but not anywhere near me. and now i'm 4 days late and scared...

The fact that you're stressed will be delaying your period
Not to say that you're definitely not pregnant - it's just highly unlikely and unfortunately the more you worry the later it will get

Since when? Pharmacists are allowed to provide the morning after pill free of charge under a patient group directive if they've done the appropriate training. Unless it's suddenly changed over the past few months.

I should hope all boots do. Pharmacists are not allowed to sell the morning after pill to people under the age of 16.

they are!!!!!!

and the morning after pill is free at most phamarcies....national and local. its just if u go to a local one they usuall make u take it in front of them so they no u are not getting it for a mate....;tho not always.
polythenepam

they are!!!!!!

Unless legislation has changed over the past few months then no, a pharmacist is not allowed to sell the morning after pill to someone under 16 years of age. They can supply it free under a patient group directive or from a prescription.

Are you a bloody idiot? Infact, don't answer that. You said he didn't penetrate you, infact you said he didn't even ejaculate, so what the **** are you expecting to get pregnant from exactly?
