Ill try my best to make this post as short as possible.
About 9 months ago had unprotected sex with a girl. Few weeks later had some red dots on my glans, they didn't hurt, didn't burst, didn't blister, was purely an aesthetic matter. I panicked, googled symptoms and eventually convinced myselfy i had herpes.

Went to the std clinic, told the woman all my fear - that i thought i had herpes etc. She took one look and said it's not herpes and she's not even gonna test me for herpes because it's look nothing like what i had. What i had was a common penis rash and i was tested for other stds, all came back clear.
Then about 1.5 months later the dots came back so i panicked coz herpes reoccurs so when to a different doc who told me it was thrush and that i need to stop panicking and trust what the std clinic said because they are experts. Prescribed canestan, used it it cleared up.
And every now and then the dots come back, again they dont hurt, they dont have liquid in them, they dont burst, they are not blisters, just red patches/blotches/dots.
They came back 3 months ago, 2 months ago, 2 weeks and now ntoday. 3 months ago i rushed to the clinic to be diagnosed with thrush again, the doc laughed when i asked about herpes.
I did have phismosis which has also come back since having thrush and so sometimes if i masturbate without lube then the dots will come back, it that sense due to friction, but now When it came back 2 weeks ago i put it down to friction but now i have a red dot again on my glans and it wasnt there last night, but i went to an onsen and then stayed at my friends house, so didnt really shower and then when i got home i had a red dot.
I'm panicking and i would get over it mentally but i can actually see these red dots and it scares me, has anyone else had something similar or any tips? I know it could be balanitis etc but this keeps happening, what do i do?!

Man ive been super scared having the same problem ive had red spots on my penis head for a year now so ive had no sex life cause im embarassed the doctor told me its definitely not herpes and also laughed at me for asking... It gets extremely irritated and red after ejaculation ive used lotrimin cream but it hasn't worked i dont even know what to do
Seriously , I was having a panic attack. Reading the comments have made me relaxed. I guess we all have the same pestering red dots. I have to be honest, I had unprotected sex with a girl that wasn’t my gf. After two weeks these dots appeared, I looked up symptoms and thought **** I got herpes. Got a 10 panel test done and was cleared. However I was still freaking out bc they were still visible I started using coconut oil, tea tree oil etc and honestly after a week or two I applied and cleaned my penis, the dots would disappear and just recently I noticed them again after having sex with my gf and they came back and again I started thinking the worse , I know you are supposed to test for stds 6months post reaction and I tested about a month apart, so of course I freaked out. I do plan on getting tested in a few months but I think I’m okay hearing from y’all. Maybe they don’t go away bc we stress when we see them ? The dots aren’t painful and they don’t ooze.
GUYS!!!! I Can't believe I found this thread. I have been searching the net for months. I have had the same problem come and go... red dots on my head. Some dull some bright, they come and go. Went for all the major STD tests and came back clean but I was still worrying. Doc said its thrush but I can't help but be paranoid it's something else. I have to use anti-fungal and steroid cream when it gets bad but goes away after a week... then it comes back in about a month. Now that someone on this thread mentioned it. When I was on a low sugar diet and being healthy and not stressing I did not get them at all. It's such a relief from my anxiety knowing that it affects other people. I was killing me mentally.Has anyone found a long term solution

My Friend. Do not stress. I was in EXACTLY the same situation as you. It happened to me and it would not go away for almost a year. It killed me mentally and really caused me a ton of stress and anxiety. The doctors kept on telling me it was thrush but in the back of my mind, I was never 100% sure. I went for std tests and they all came back clean but I could not shake the feeling it was a std. I was obsessed about finding out what it was

Take the tablet and apply the ointment as much as possible. I applied mine every time I went for a pee in case it came off. I also cut out sugar completely as the high sugar content in your urine can help the fungus grow. Also, try and avoid alcohol for a month and keep healthy so your immune system can so it can help fight off the fungus.
As I mentioned, don't stress, just keep your head clean, apply the ointment and keep healthy and in a month you will be fine. Mine came back a few days ago so I just cut out sugar, applied the cream and now it's gone. I also noticed that just after I took the tablet it seemed to get worse, but then got better, this is normal.

I had unprotected sex with this girl last night, I had sex with her before, unprotected, but I was not in the mood and it was short. Nothing ever came from it. Like 2 days later, I had sex with her again, this time it was a long session, she was tight and dry at moments. Literlly right after sex I looked at my penis and noticed a ton of red small dots all over my penis head. I have had sex burns and irritation spots before, but never to this extent. Next day, penis has red dots still, penis tickles a bit every now and then. I am in for the wait at this point but, I really want to diagnose it. All the herpes pictures online aren't similar, I wish people weren't so scared to talk about their genitals because it is hard finding an answer
Hey guys, thought I'd resurrect this thread, as I have something very similar, small red dots on the penis head, which tend to come and go. This all started after I received unprotected oral sex last year. I've had tests done for chalmydia, syphilis, gonirrhoea and HIV, all negative. Been to nu.erous doctors, numerous examinations, all have said it's not herpes. Literally no idea what it is or where to turn. So basically im21 was in a long term relationship which ended 3 months ago. Since then I had a fling with a girl and we had unprotected sexual, a few days after sex I noticed small red dots under my foreskin which developed into small almost blister looking things with no fluid all over the tip, no pain or anything just looked bad like skin was almost peeling. This cleared after no sex within a week. Then we had sex again (3days in a row) and it came back worse and again cleared up. Now I’m seeing someone else we’ve had sex 4 nights this last 10 days and about 5 days after first unprotected sex I noticed the red dots again which now are looking worse again. This has never happened in my life before and I have had a lot of sex, symptoms don’t seem to be herpes and I tested negative for c and g 6 months ago. I’ve been thinking it’s maybe balantis or thrush. Thrush because for a while I’ve had white on my tongue and thinking potentially this is oral thrush which I’m transferring to myself during sex. Please respond as I don’t know what to do. Thanks

For anyone just reading this old thread - this is simply thrush/hpv. We have it on us all the time and sometimes due to various things - diet, partners etc - it multiplies much more than it should and for those of us with sensitive skin results in the red spots on one’s otherwise shiny helmet.I’ve found myself almost allergic to some women. Some partners if they’ve been prone to thrush or yeast infections can trigger it in me. I can also get a bout if I bake with yeast or eat a yeast rich diet.Keep clean. I stick a bit of Savlon in the general area now and again. Savlon kills these bacteria and is an excellent way to ensure hygiene. For me it helps to stop an colonies of skin bacteria becoming too rampant, then I can eat bread and drink beer.

Gave up on the doctor. Penaten baby bottom cream is the answer my friends. Apply in the morning after a wash with gentle or no soap and water. Dry nicely and then add thick cover of the cream and leave on until next shower the next morning. Before you get in the shower use some kleenex to wipe off the last cream application and shower and repeat. Do this for 3 days and the dots are gone. But* they do come back after vigerous sexual activity. But I just do the same.l thing with the penaten cream. It's been the only thing that works for me. Hope this helps. PENATEN for the win! If it's safe for a babies bottom and genitals it's safe for your tender bits too.

It seems to be a combination of dry weather and sensitive skin...so less showering and milder soap. It's also very dry weather lately. But penaten as sure helped me.
i am also going thru this. i got tested for all possible std’s also hsv all came negative but these red spots seems to pop up every week or so
Hello, I don’t know if any of the people who wrote here 8-10 yrs ago will see this, but I’m in a very difficult position right now and would appreciate to know if someone who suffered a similar problem was able to solve it after many years. More than 6 months ago I received oral sex without protection. After a couple of days I started having testicular pain and then balanitis (my glans was irritated). The testicular pain and balanitis were on and off for the last months and recently they have decreased. I have days where I don’t feel any testicular pain. The thing is that I get red patches on my glans after EVERY masturbation. I mean, my penis will literally be completely normal in color until I decide to masturbate. Then the head turns really red before ejaculation and then red patches appear, disappearing about a day later. It is really just an esthetic problem but I feel very insecure watching it so red. I don’t feel it’s normal. I have been tested for everything and have seen more than 6 doctors. None of them know why this happens to me :/

After seeing many doctors who diagnosed it as balantis and gave various creams that didn’t work, this is how I cured it:
(If you haven’t seen a doctor, do that first!!!)
* I bought a miconazole nitrate anti-fungal powder, marketed for athletes foot.
* Make sure it’s talc-free.
* after every shower, I’d coat the head of my penis with the powder. It’d be totally white after.
* I’d also use a eczema cream or Vaseline cream first, to help the powder stick and also to moisture
* I’d recommend applying above the toilet or tub since the powder goes everywhere. This worked very quickly, and if I ever get a recurrence it’s usually less than once a year, and this fixes it very fast!
(If you haven’t seen a doctor, do that first!!!)
