worst driving lesson EVER!

ok so I just had my 30th driving lesson, booked my test and everything. But it went so ****!!! I stalled like 50 billion times, and then my instructor got a bit fed up and said he's gona be silent now and told me to drive back to town without direction, so I did, and I thought I did fine. Untill I got home and he told me ALL my mistakes, and he was like you didn't signal 4 times, you didn't change to first gear bla bla bla. I was like omg!! and I booked my test too, I feel like **** :frown: lol and he was like before next lesson (tommorow) I have to pull my socks up! lol
just had to let that out :p:

Don't worry about it! I used to have brilliant days and truly awful days when I was learning to drive, everyone does and to be honest I think I still have those days 2 years after passing my test
Good luck with your test btw

Hmm you should be fine.

Still wondering how you stall after that many lessons? To date I've only stalled any car twice, that was when I was learning how to stop and start with my Dad. 30 lessons = at least 30 hours driving. :s-smilie:

Good luck for the test :yy:

I hate my instructors Corsa aswell, the clutch is really stiff and it's so slow, you need to rag it to get anywhere

LOL, that's because it has a small engine.

I had a mock test a few lessons before my real one. It was awful, I had about 5 major faults. Then the following week I passed first time.

30 lessons?! jesus christ, it must be hard to get your license in England. I got mine when I was 16, all you need is 10 hours of driver's ed class and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. oh, and you're supposed to practice for 60 hours with your parents, but nobody does that and they don't check.

I know what you mean I have my test booked for next thursday and I had a mock driving test last week omg was it was bad. First of all he said I drove too fast when were going along the hilly bits. Then I had to slow down a lot on a hill due to some air head non-learner driver swinging right out and forgot I needed to change to a lower gear, my instructor who was clearly annoyed had to remind me. Then when I went to turn right I signalled left. I had failed by 2 faults however one of them was when I was turning right coming up a hill and there was no way I could have seen the other learner approaching so I went out and started to turn and then looked right and then the other car appeared I couldn't just stop there so I continued, the other learner didn't even have to brake, my instructor didn't seemed bothered at the time either yet he had a go at me.

wow u lot got it easy lol
legally here your're only allowed to learn to drive from when your 17,
we gotta do a theory test, and then a practical, which according to the stats the average amount of lesssons people take is 40 hours. But it depends on the individual!

I managed to hit the curb and pop my instructors tire then stood there watching him change it once. I’m happy I did it though, just to cost him money.

when i had my 'mock' driving test i messed it up too - over cautious, nervous, panicking

but i realised my mistakes and made sure i didn't make them again....and i passed

but u say u signalled left and turned right  u fail for that :frown:

i pulled out infront of big white vans and then the dude in the van beeps at me - but my instructor just said "pick up ur speed a bit"

anyways, good luck for ur test

Well, at least you didn't admire the scenary, take your eyes off the road, hit a parked cars side mirror, lose control, panic and drive into a ditch, spilling coffee over the instructors knees like some people i.e. me. However, I did smile and get over it when i knew the insurance would cover it.

I've had a full license for coming up on four years now, and I still stall reasonably frequently. 95% of the time, though, it's when reversing - my little Skoda hates reversing with a vengeance.

Don't worry about it. My lesson yesterday, the one before my test was horrible too. I told my instructor that was me getting all my mistakes out of the way so I didn't make any in the test! Messing up made me switch on that much more when it came to the test; when my instructor picked me up I drove almost perfectly to the test centre. Other than the nerves, you are always a little more on the ball in tests anyway. And there's also the fact that you have good and bad days, as long as you don't let it get you down, you'll benefit from it.

And don't worry too much about stalling either. I stalled twice on my test today and didn't get a minor for either of them, just remember to secure the car and get it going as soon as you are able.

(Let's not mention the fact that I failed this morning! Other than the one place I messed up, as I always do on that junction, I drove better than I usually do because it was my test and that's what I had to do).
haww dont worry about it. try and keep calm. i used to have good days and bad days. and the hour lesson just before my test i messed up so many times. but i dunno what happened on the test, my examiner was just really nice (suprise suprise!) and i finally relaxed and passed.
