My boyfriend is 3 months older than me :eek:

When other girls ask me how old he is and I say 'Oh, same age' they are like 'Er, OK'. I don't see the problem though...

My boyfriend is 9 months older than me. he should be in the year above, but took a year out to learn English, so we're in the same year at university. I had to work out how much older he is tho, its never been something i've thought about much!

People do say that a man's age minus 2 will equal a woman's mature age. I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 20, and it may be true that his maturity is the same as mine, but then again people say I'm more mature than my age...
Back on topic, if I didn't have a boyfriend, I wouldn't mind going out with guys my age or younger, but it depends on their attitude and personality etc.

Can I just say that, as I guy, it is really irritating that girls only seem to want to go out with guys who are older - cos I personally would rather go out with a girl my own age (I am 18) and not some 15/16 year old. :redface:

Almost every girl I know prefers slightly older guys because girls mature earlier, therefore the statement that a girl's age - 2 is a boy's (who is the same age) mental age is about correct, although only on average.

Honestly though, if you meet someone and really like them would it matter how many years or months there was between you?

To add my details, my fiance is 2 years and 3 months older than me - you can't tell at all.

Yep, that's like me and my BF, well he's almost 4 years older but when you're 22, it's nothing!! So some of my friends give me crap about it, and are like 'oh you should go for an older guy, dump him!' and I'm like 'hell no! I like him just the way he is' :smile:

Ok I guess I would prefer it if he were a few years older, but what can you do? I say to girls like this "stop being ridiculous, get real" but in a nicer way :p:

I'd never ever ever ever go for a younger guy- no way. Never even been tempted in the slightest. All the guys I've met of my age are mainly idiots (when it comes to girls)- a select few are okay but just as mates. There's just something satisifying about older guys- not majorly older of course (unless they're incredibly good looking and it's a distant admiration). But even guys a year older than me I've found to be annoyingly immature alot of the time. Meh dunno...perhaps it's just me.

The matter of a few months is irrelavent isnt it? How is a guy 4 months younger than you any different to a guy 4 months older or 2 months younger or 1 month younger or 3 months older? (you get the idea)

I fail to see how 2, 3 or 4 months makes any more difference than 1 month. I think age matters if its years but months? No way. Especially if you are in the same year at school/uni.
