Fat Days

It's that after christmas thing where you feel like youve eaten a little too much and are feeling pretty fat and gross. what do you do to combat feeling like that (if you ever do) and if you never do then why do you think that is?

I've been feeling a bit down about my weight as since I've been at uni I've gone from 8 stone to 8.5 stone (I'm 5ft 5) and I just get those days where I hate all the clothes I own and feel fat in all of them.

So what do you do when youre feeling like that? Diet? Gym?

Eat nothing to 6 months

Garanteeds you to cut down 2 sizes!
To be fair, 8.5 stone is a perfectly nice weight for being 5"5 ft. I mean literally, thats an almost ideal body weight, I believe!
I know what you mean about post-xmas feeling fat. Although I bring it on myself, by complete pigging out :colondollar:
Usually I try to detox for a few days, starting about the second of january... this makes me feel a bit healthier and less guilty, and I then try to revert back to having a reasonably healthy diet - and spread out the remaining Xmas chocolate over the next few months, rather than eating it all at once!
Having that feeling right now.I hate it.

Don't weigh yourself so much, you'll feel much better. It's more important how you look and feel about yourself, the weight means nothing (in relative terms).

I think I would go thermonuclear, if I ingested that much quality street.
6'1.5'' and 8.9 stone is not a good look (cadaverous and grim reaper like) . I have gained quite a bit of weight since then but still look damn slim.

5'5'' and 8.5 stone is a good weight, get it back down to 8 and that would be perfect.

Now I must burst in to an impromptu song, sing along
Sunday, Monday FATTY days, Tuesday Wednesday FATTY days, Thursday Friday FATTY days, The weekend comes, My Stomach hums, Ready to eat some food.

ive not put on any weight at all despite eating more. it just sits in the 14-14.5 stone range all the time.

You sound like you needed that half stone anyway!!!

I'm a tiny bit taller than you and I weigh just over 9 stone. Size 10 is often too big for me, so I think it would be like a tent on you. You do not need to lose weight, honey.

I was 6'1.5'' and 8.9 stone, I was very very skinny but not invisible. Eight stone is a great weight for someone who is 5'5'' , and is in no way too skinny IMHO

It differs between people anyway...maybe I'm heavier than I look because I'm more muscley, hmmm.

*flexes puny arm*

Lol my scales have run out of batteries, which is good because if i did weigh myself id only become depressed xD I am feeling the xmas over eaten yeh, but as soon as my ankle is better im back to the gym and the pool. I am determined to eat less crap aswell.
I wish I only felt fat for a few days. *rolls eyes*

Put it this way to make yourself feel better - it's healthy to put on weight in the Winter because it means you stay warm! Your body will naturally want to do it anyway!!

Other than that comforting thought - exercise helps me feel better; just think "the pain makes me thin"...
