Fake Drunks

Does anyone else HATE it when people pretend to be drunk? I cannot stand it when I know someone has had nothing or very little to drink and they are flopping all over the place, being lude and claiming they are 'SOOOO PIIIISSED'. Is it just me or does it wind anyone else up? And WHY do people do it??

It drives me insane... only possible explanation is attention seeking.

I dont knooowwww.. thats why it drives me so mad. It just seems pointless and it is SO irritating having someone acting like an idiot for no reason. I find that people pretending to be drunk are NOTHING like they are when they are really drunk.. so why do they still think they are getting away with it??
Yes, its soo bloody annoying. One of my friends does it frequently.
The only explanations that I can think of are
a) attention seeking or
b) They pretend to be drunk when they aren't, so they don't really get drunk - because they are afraid of what they might say/do if they get too sloshed!
It a blantant act to try and seek attention, esp. when they shout "im drunk/pissed" or whatever, Yes it does my head in!!
I have to admit to being a lightweight, i dont see how that could be annoying! Its nice & cheap!!

In my experience, people who go around saying "I'm sooooooo drunk!!" have normally just done something hideous or embarrassing, and need an excuse...

Its even more hideous and embarassing to go on and on about it. I snap at people quite often and tell them I KNOW theyre not drunk and that they are doing my head in but then I just get called a miserable bitch. Its on my mind because its why I came home early tonight, I just couldnt put up with all the lurching all over the place and shouting in the street anymore. Also this childish obession with getting drunk at EVERY oppourtunity. I agree that sometimes it can be fun, and sometimes its accidental and you just get carried away, but surely it is not NECESSARY!?

I guess if you're 17 and your friends are a similar age, then they pretty much still are children and alcohol is probably a novelty for them. I'm sure they'll soon become more mature and realise how stupid they looked.

Want to know what you do...if they are really 'pissed' tramp on their foot......usually drunkards don't feel it but if they aren't as 'pissed' as they make out they'll scream pretty much in agony  xoxo

I guess, though how anyone can feel comfortable drinking vodka out of plastic bottles on street corners or not feel embarassed at being refused entry to bars full of people who are much older anyway. I guess im just fed up that I dont get to enjoy it all too, all I think about though is how stupid I have seen them look and how I dont want to look like that too.

Yes, one of my 'friends' does this. ****ing irritating.

I've done this when partially drunk, basically I use it as an excuse to say and do things I normally wouldn't get away with.

I actually become more attention seeking when I am actually properly drunk.

Whats the point in pretending to be drunk, when you could just be...drunk.

Lack of money, and the fact I am not able to control what I say when drunk in order to say what I want to say.
