hi guys out there,

can anyone tell me how to determine if he admires you? James approached me and I kinda turned him down. Then he stopped calling. I then took the initiative to look for him and we were back to good friends also. 1 week before I was scheduled to leave the country for 5 months with the possibility of not returning until 1 year later or even not returning at all, he gave me the cold shoulder.

3 months later, while I was still away from home, he emailed me and then started making long-distance calls to me. One fine day, I told him to stop calling me. He then confessed that he cannot stop thinking of me yet cannot commit. "Fine" I thought.

I then started making long-distance calls to him almost every other night if not every night. And he will spend time chatting with me, sometimes till the wee hours, though he had to work the next day. All these while, he NEVER did call me again, I was always the one to call him.

At times, I will also send him internet sms (short messagesto cellphones) and he will return with an international sms to my cellphone (which will probably cost him a "bomb" per text). He seldom holds back on sending international text to me. And I suspect that he wishes to see me back home soon.

When I fnally returned, he gave me the cold shoulder. He doesn't call me or sends me any text. I heard from a reliable source that he's giving me the cold shoulder because he didn't think that I am the one for him. I suspect he's behaving this way because I told him that I will be leaving my home country for good. But can't he see that I am already back home for good??

I want to know what's going on in the mind of a typical guy of age 27. Is he keen or not? Does he still like me??

I confess that I have grown to like him after all these guessing game. .. :eek:

Guys out there, any advice? comments? remarks?

Hmm, If he gave you the cold shoulder.. I doubt he likes you or wants to have a relationship with you.

I dont think he would have been talking and texting you only to give you the cold shoulder, if he wasnt trully interested. I think he is interested and his behaviour towards you is to see whether you will fight for him ( i.e. whether u r interested).
Better still, why dont you ask him flat out, if he is inetrested!!

and a friend said that one doesn't tell you upfront " hey, i am no longer interested in you" but one tells you through his actions. SInce he's giving me the cold shoulder, I guess.... he's no longer interested and that I should move on instead of pining hopes on him.. man... this is complicated!

But it's better to be complicated than not to be implicated at all.

Will be seeing him later with several other friends for dinner. Hope he turns up and wish me well, yah?
