date dilemma - help!

One of my mates has just asked me if wanna go on a date with him when we get back to uni. I really like him as a friend and he's really funny but I just don't find him physically attractive.
The added problem is that there's this other guy I can't stop thinking about who I think may like me but I'm not sure - I was gonna work that one out once I go back to uni. The guy who's asked me out wants me to text him back - so I'm gonna have to reply at some point soon...

Should I just say yes to the date and see how it goes even though i don't find him physically attractive or be honest and tell him that i'm interested in someone else? Please/help any advice would be appreciated! please!

If you dont find him attractive, just say no you just want to be friends. If you do end up going out with him, you will only be hurting him and yourself.

:ditto: There really is very little point in leading this guy on if you don't really have any interest in him in that way.

I think a much better (and possibly more rewarding  ) option would be to concentrate on the guy you do actually like at home.

Hey, it's not just girls who do it  I think both sexes are equally guilty.

I think with some people it's a case of anyone being better than no one. So they are prepared to settle for Mr Right Now rather than Mr Right just so they're not alone. I guess that may be a bit of a generalisation but I do know quite a few people with that mind set.

Also it can be hard to turn down people because of feelings of guilt/ wondering what could have happend. It's just easier to take a gamble sometimes that a person will "grow" on you than to reject them.

OK, so that's my list of theories :p: I could be miles off the mark though
