I shave, it's okay. Razor-burn is annoying but there are plenty of things you can do to reduce that. If you're going to shave, trim as short as you can first and then shave. Use loads of shaving gel, put some baby lotion or something similar on after.

Waxing and hair-removal cream is probably better if you can't be bothered with shaving regularly.

I get lots of red sores when I shave, it's terrible :frown:

I want to tidy my hair up down there...is shaving an ok idea? I did try once using some veet stuff, but I must have been doing something wrong
Thanks,

Shaving is fine, just be careful, it's easier to get razor rash!

The first time i shaved i got well bad razor burn. But for some reason i dont get anything anymore *thumbs up*
Do it in the bath. Trim first and then razor. make sure you moisturise afterwards.

I find that if I do it about every 3-4 days rather than everyday/everyother day i don't get those so bad...

Shave it in water (in the bath or shower). If it irritates your skin I suggest drowning said skin in moisturiser immediately afterwards. Veet and stuff is probably more dodgy if you're trying not to burn yourself.

Why can't I delete this?

ok, this is going to sound really really silly...but what is moisturiser? Does it kind of calm the skin after you shave?

When you shave you make you're skin very dry which leads to burning or red spots...which hurt/itch and arent very attractive. So you put the moisture back in to calm your skin down.
here's a tip. i know i'm a guy but anyway..it's better to shave in the direction (along the same direction) that the hair is growing, dont shave against it... i know the face is different but it doesnt hurt when i shave my face this way. once, i did it the other way and i cut myself...hope this helps

after the first time you shave down there, and then continue to do it, it won't irritate as much.

What's the point of using the anonymous button if you're going to sign your post gg?

Shaving is fine, just be careful. You can buy special trimmers for your bikini line which are smaller and more delicate. xx
shave in the bath and in the direction of the hair.
use a new razor, the sharper the better.

a really good moisturiser is palmers Cocoa Butter. very soothing. or E45.
if you use anything too perfumed you could have a bad reaction.

Should you use an electric razor? or just one you would shave your legs with?
Reply 18
Um the one I shave my legs with IS electric. I've never used real blades, comes with all the mess with foams and creams etc... A ladyshave both trims and shaves it all off however you like it.
they scare me!
i just use disposible razors, always have. always will.
and i just shave in the bath, no foams and faff, just some cocoa butter once i'm done.
