right, well i had the injection in november and then have had sex with my boyfriend a few times unprotected (no worries about sti's we are both safe).

anyway, i know the injection can affect periods but mine didnt come this month.

so now this has got me worrying about being pregnant.

has this ever happened to any of you (the period chnage / stop or fear of pregnancy)

just a little confused :frown:

xxxxx

how soon after going on the injection did you have unprotected sex?

Its most likely the injection affecting your period but if you're really worried you could put your mind at rest in about 2 mins by doing a pregnancy test........

go to the docs straight away and get them to test you. i thought i was pregnant and i did a test and it was negative so i stopped worrying but my period still didn't come so i did another two tests last week, both positive now i'm in a very difficult situation. If you get tested by a doc then you'll know that its 100% certain

It could be the jab....I'm on it too. For a year I had a constant period and then they just suddenly stopped. But if you're worried, take a test. x x
i was on the Jab for a year and a half. For every jab that i had, I had a constant period for 6-8 weeks and the rest of the three months, we're period free. I'd take a test just to be sure, but I was told that the injection is effective from right away. But the weird thing about the injection is that it is the same dosage for every girl, no matter what age, weight or height. my friend was on it, and never had a peiod for three months, except a bit of spotting two weeks into each injection.
but your saying you had constant periods - and now none. i haven't had any!!!

*thinking of doing a test*

A lot of people don't get periods at all when on the injection. I wouldn't really worry personally, but take a test if it'd put your mind at rest.

I think quite a lot of people use the injection because for the mostpart it stops periods altogether.

had exactly the same worry, but a neg test later and a talk with my doc sorted it out. i just don't get periods now, which happens to about 1/3 of women on the injection. and after 4 injections many women find they have no periods at all. Though the first one is most likely to cause irregular, possibly lenghty bleeding or spoting, which can continue in some women.

the rish of pregancy is, and i quote "very low"
