my next step - dont know what to do!

ok basically i know this girl and i really like her - would like to be friends with her or more if she wanted.

however, i don't think she knows me. i got drunk (ok, not good) and got her number off someone and decided to text her. she text back but didn't ask who it was.

iv taken quite a liking to her - i think she knows this cos someone's told her. now everytime she looks at me she just gives me that look. you know that look as in "ooh its him again". i see her but i don't speak to her: simarlarly she sees me but doesn't speak to me.

what should i do?

i just want to get talking.

you 'really like' her, yet haven't spoken to her?! hmmmm. something's not quite right here. if only i could put my finger on it....oh yes. you don't know her! golly. you sound like a stalker! i'd be completely creeped out if i was on the recieving end of that. Flattered if it was someone i knew, if even only remotely, but creeped out by a stranger.

Take it in stages.

Next time you see her, smile, acknowledge etc.
Then move it on to saying 'hi'.
Then, 'hi, how's it going'.

After a couple of weeks, have a full-scale conversation in which you talk about you two texting each other and other such things relating to your like-iness of her.

yeah she's in like most of my classes (if not all).

im not a stalker: i just want to know her, but i don't know how to approach.

iv tried the acknowleging thing and had like a conversation with her: albeit waas about work...

would you be freaked out if you were her?

well you better speak to her now after you got her telephone number of someone without her permission and texting her when drunk,

Just go up to her and tell the truth, Tell her sorry about the other night, you were drunk (lie and say you were being egged on to text her) She'll then ask you why you were being egged on, Then you tell her why you did text her, What you think of her.

then she'll blush, and you'll then find out what your chances are.
