citizens advice volunteering interview

I have an interview in just under two hours for a volunteering position at cab. It's 1 hour a week as a receptionist.

I'm nervous even though this is volunteering and was wondering if anyone has any last minute advice?

What sort of things are they likely to ask?

Are the interviews generally informal?

an hour a week as a receptionist, unpaid, and they still make you jump through all these hoops just to have a chance at being given this placement

wow, just reading that made me die a little inside. I might just quit my ever-lasting quest for a part-time paid job and go into summer hibernation.

Yep, I had to make an enquiry, then was emailed an application form which I filled in and returned to them, then got an email about an interview which only then stated it would be for an hour a week :p: All I knew until that point was that it was tuesday evenings.

Hope the interview isn't too formal though it'll be good practise for the interview I have tomorrow for an actual job

They were supposed to let me know by the end of the week and I've heard nothing. Why is it so hard to just volunteer? I'm qualified, I have the time since I only work part time. Why can't they just tell me yes or no :s:

Still nothing, may just assume they're not going to get back to me.

Anyone know why it's so hard to volunteer for one hour a week?!

Ok so I got a letter- yes a letter! They communicated with my via email before my interview so why not just email me? Instead I have to wait a week and a half to get a letter telling me due to how much interest they had, I didn't get it.

It's an hour a week, why is it so sodding difficult to just volunteer?

Hi, how soon did Citizens Advice get back to you after you returned the application form to them?
