Boron has, initially, 3 lone electrons.
It forms 3 covalent bonds with 3 chlorines. So, now, it doesnt have any lone pair
Like Hira siad, Boron only has 3 lone electrons as it is in group 3.
Just out of interest, what made you think Boron had 4 lone electrons, or was that just a honest mistake?
ok...apologies im just an idiot and not thinking clearly lol thanks ppl for all your help yeah it was a dumb mistake...
